Darren Richardson
Mindset/Resilience Coach, Speaker
I’m a Mindset, Resilience, and Mental Performance Coach, motivational speaker, and founder of Ashes to Ascent Coaching. As a former firefighter/paramedic and two-time amputee, I carry 18 years of experience in the fire service and a story forged through adversity, loss, and the refusal to quit. My journey began with a life-altering amputation at 13, and later, after years of answering traumatic calls as a firefighter/paramedic, I faced PTSD, depression, identity loss, and the painful reality of stepping away from the career that had defined me. Years later, I chose to fight for another chance to return to the fire service — only to be challenged again by another amputation. But every setback became a turning point. Every loss became a lesson. Today, through Ashes to Ascent Coaching, I help first responders, military veterans, amputees, and others rise from their hardest moments, rebuild their identity, and turn pain into purpose through mindset, resilience, mentorship, and lived experience.
